Corcoran Minnesota Information
Corcoran was settled in 1855 and was organized on May 11, 1858. The city is named after Patrick B. Corcoran, the first schoolteacher, merchant, and postmaster of the town. Corcoran has grown slowly over time, adding just over 1% of its population from the year 2000 to July, 2006. Corcoran has only one community park, but nearby Maple Grove has nearly two dozen parks from which to choose. Corcoran is also a short drive away from both Fish Lake Regional Park and Elm Creek Park Reserve.
