Dayton's Bluff has some very interesting homes through the years, most of which were built in the 50s and before ? leaving for some interesting artitecture, especially since many of the homes were built by immigrants of the time.

Daytons Bluff and the immediate area has gone through waves of different immigrants, with Swedes and Germans in the mid 1800s through waves of Eastern Europeans, Italians, African Americans, Asians, Hispanics and now, primarily Somali immigrants as well as Eritrean immigrants are largely in the area.

Near the Mississippi River, which Daytons Bluff sits above is the Indian Mounds Park.

There is plenty of real estate in the area around Dayton's Bluff, primarily single family homes as well as multi family dwellings that house a few families in each. Because Dayton's Bluff suffers from such transitional residents, the area is considered to be a working class neighborhood, leaving the house prices reasonable against the soaring prices of other communities.
