Dayton's Bluff is a neighborhood on the northeast side St. Paul, Minnesota. Dayton's Bluff has some very historic homes within the neighborhood, most of which were built in the late 1800's. Dayton's Bluff sits above the Mississippi River, which gives the area breathtaking views. The neighborhood is also home to Indian Mounds Park, a historic site of seven big aboriginal burial mounds. This site itself overlooks Downtown St. Paul, an absolutely unforgettable view of the city.
The neighborhood is largely residential, with some of the homes in the area dating back to the late 19th century. The area began as a spot for wealthy individuals to build large estates, but has evolved into a more modest, suburban community.
