Highland Park is a middle-class to upper-middle class neighborhood with many single and multi family dwellings scattered throughout the neighborhood. Many families, particularly those that work at the Ford Factory as well as families who opt to send their children to one of the two preparatory schools also live in the area.

Very shortly quite a bit of prime real estate will open up in the Highland Park neighborhood after the Ford plant closes - it is hoped that the area will be returned to residential use and homes built to further expand Highland Park?s residential capacity.
