The Macalester-Groveland western border, the East River Parkway is public park land that features walking and biking paths atop 100 foot tall bluffs that make up the Mississippi River bank. The roads in Macalester-Groveland are residentially zoned.
The property values in Macalester-Groveland are very high due to the scenic view of the river, which is predominately upper and upper middle class families and single family homes.
