Minneapolis Neighborhoods

If you are looking for a wonderful neighborhood in one of the Twin Cities to settle into and really enjoy, look for a neighborhood like Bancroft in Minneapolis. This neighborhood has a little of everything to keep her community happy and secure. It is located south of Powderhorn Lake, and is bounded by 38th Street East and 42nd Street East to the north and south and by Chicago Avenue and Cedar Aveneu to the west and east.

This sweet little Minneapolis neighborhood is a lovely one, with old houses lining the streets, most built before 1940 and many of them maintaining the classic charm from the early 20th century. This is not to say that the neighborhood is not up to date, however, as it also has a bit of a commercial district along Bloomington Avenue and 38th Street with shops for the neighborhood residents to shop at and work in.

This wonderful little neighborhood was named after the local elementary school, which is named for George Bancroft, an American historian born in 1800. The neighborhood is a great place to raise a family or to set up a home base from which to work in the city.
