Minneapolis Neighborhoods

Bottineau, Minneapolis: Just to the east of the Mississippi River in northeastern Minneapolis lies a neighborhood called Bottineau. This lovely neighborhood is bounded by University Avenue to the east, and Lowry Avenue NE and 16th/17th Avenues NE to the north and south in addition to the river forming a western boundary. The neighborhood may be small, but it is no less rich for all that, and provides a wonderful place to lice and work in Minneapolis.

The culture of Bottineau is a rich one, with the history of the neighborhood lending itself to a very diverse mix of ethnicities and classes of people, all living comfortably together in this small area of Minneapolis. The cultural richness is enhanced by the many amenities like the library, the large park that serves the neighborhood, and the close location to the downtown area of Minneapolis, all serving the 1,254 people who call Bottineau home.

While this neighborhood is a great place to raise a family, it is equally wonderful for the artistic community. The Northeast Arts Association is one such building that caters to the artists of the community, with a former industrial building having been converted into a number of studios for artists. A café and restaurant are open to the public while about 70 artists toil behind the scenes.

The beauty and diversity of Bottineau are a wonderful sight to see!
