Minneapolis Neighborhoods

Togetherness is the theme of the Bryant neighborhood in southern Minneapolis, and the strength and wholeness of the community fairly radiates outward for people to experience as they pass through. This small community is bounded by 38th Street East and 42nd Street East on the north and south, and by Interstate 35 W and Chicago Avenue on the west and east.

Bryant neighborhood was named for William Cullen Bryant, who was an American poet who lived from 1794 to 1878. The neighborhood itself was incorporated into Minneapolis in 1887, and was completely developed by 1930 with plenty of residential area and hardly any commercial or industrial activity at all. The neighborhood today is still mostly residential, with plenty of single family homes and a few multifamily buildings in the northwestern part of the neighborhood.

Bryant is a wonderful place to raise a family, with a beautiful park in the neighborhood proving a safe and comfortable space for children and families and plenty of homes providing the community buffer from the rest of the big city. The suburban area of Bryant is a welcoming and beautiful part of the city of Minneapolis, as you will surely soon discover.
