Cedar-Isles-Dean is bordered to the south by Lake Street, to the north and east by Lake of the Isles, and to the west by France Avenue. The neighborhood sits on the shores of Cedar Lake, a body of water which is shared with the Kenwood neighborhood and the Bryn Mawr neighborhood. This neighborhood is named after Cedar Lake, Lake of the Isles and A.J. Dean, a donor who helped fund the Dean Parkway in 1892.
