Downtown Minneapolis (Central) Community Real Estate

The downtown Minneapolis area is the epicenter of Minneapolis Real Estate.  This urban community is home to thousands of residents as well as the Minneapolis Convention Center, the Metrodome, Target Center, and Minnesota's tallest building, The IDS Center.  The residential landscape of this community has changed dramatically in the past two decades.  Townhomes and condos now line the picturesque Mississippi Riverfront which is home to the famed Guthrie Theatre.  Lightrail transit links this urban center to the Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America! Read more about the Minneapolis Neighborhoods within the Central Community

Minneapolis Neighborhoods within the Central Community

Downtown East - The image of Downtown East is changing as more and more of the land is renovated and new families move into the area. Between 1990 and 2000, the proportion of owner-occupied housing and residential housing overall increased tenfold.

Downtown West - Since 1980, the proportion of owner occupied housing in Downtown West has increased substantially as the neighborhood continues to reinvent itself and grow toward a bright future.

Elliot Park - Homes and buildings in Elliot Park are still available at affordable prices despite the deceptively high average price for homes.

Loring Park - If you are interested in purchasing a home in this area, you will need to decide whether a turn of the Century Brownstone or a contemporary flat is more to your liking!

North Loop - Most of the housing within the North Loop has been constructed within the last twenty years, and this is an excellent location for those who are looking for a comfortable style of living with easy access to a variety of amenities and recreational activities.

Stevens Square-Loring Heights - Many people flock to Stevens Square - Loring Heights because of it's beautiful architecture and proximity to downtown Minneapolis.
