The Corcoran neighborhood is a mixed use residential community on the south side of Minneapolis. Centered around Corcoran Park, the smallest park in the Minneapolis park system, the neighborhood takes great pride in its status. Each year, the Corcoran Park Festival celebrates the community spirit, and has recently been joined by a new festival to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Corcoran features easy rail access to downtown, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport and the Mall of America via a light rail stop at Lake Street. There are plans underway to renovate Lake Street into a central commercial corridor which will significantly change the face of the neighborhood and revitalize the community.

Housing in Corcoran is about evenly divided between rental property and owner occupied housing, with about 60% of the land devoted to single family detached homes. The median home price for homes in the Corcoran neighborhood has been significantly lower than the median home prices in greater Minneapolis, but that has slowly been changing as more and more properties are renovated and updated.
