Diamond Lake, on the south side of Minneapolis, is a thriving middle class community that is made up largely of owner-occupied single family detached homes. The neighborhood takes its name from the lake that is located at its western end. The community is active and lively, with a congenial suburban feel, but located close to the center of the city for easy access to downtown and the highways.
Diamond Lake Park was established in 1926 and continues to be the centerpiece of the beautiful little urban neighborhood. The lake itself covers 30 acres, and the park is an additional 40 acres of land devoted to relaxation and recreation.
