Located on the western side of Minneapolis, East Isles is a thriving, middle income neighborhood with a great deal of cachet. The prosperous neighborhood is situated on the west side of Lake of the Isles, part of Minneapolis' Chain of Lakes area. The lakes and green belt that make up the center of the neighborhood have made East Isles a popular destination for Minneapolis residents.

Over the past decade, the stock of owner-occupied and commercial real estate has nearly tripled, and with that change, home values have increased substantially. The wide streets are lined with a lively mix of traditional brownstones, new construction and single family residences. The neighborhood is built around the lakes that make up so much a part of it, and popular recreational activities center around the parks and green spaces. Hiking, biking, swimming and boating are popular pastimes in summer. In the winter, there is ice skating and cross country skiing on the various trails along the riverside.
