Minneapolis Neighborhoods
Located on the western shore of the Mississippi River, Hiawatha is part of the Longfellow community. The working middle class neighborhood is largely residential with a high proportion of single family homes and recreational land. Nearly one third of the neighborhood's area is set aside for recreational use, including the popular Minnehaha Park and Mississippi's Lock and Dam #1.
