Minneapolis Neighborhoods

In the 19th century, Logan Park was a recreational area named for United State Senator John A. Logan, who was a general in the Civil War. Today, the area is filled with large Victorian homes that center around this park, making this neighborhood in Minneapolis one of the nicer places to live. In total, Logan Park's neighborhood is comprised of 150 acres in the north central part of the city, with almost 12% of this land being used for parks and recreation. The rest is split fairly evenly between residential and industrial areas, divided my railroad tracks along Central Avenue.

There are just over 1,000 housing units in the Logan Park neighborhood. As compared to the average price of a home in all of Minneapolis, Logan Park's homes priced much lower, making this a great place for a first home if you want to live in the city. Rent here is also generally a bit lower, so it's ideal for a semi-permanent or temporary situation as well. The bottom line is that Logan Park will provide you with a touch of the outdoors even though you're in the middle of the city, so you should consider living in this area.
