Loring Park Minneapolis Real Estate
Loring Park is one of the largest parks in Minnesota and is found smack dab in the center of Minneapolis. It was known as Central Park for a long time, until it was renamed to honor the first superintendent of the park system in Minneapolis, Charles Loring. Today, Loring Park is also the name of the surrounding neighborhood, which is filled with both residential areas and businesses. This area is one of the most beloved in the entire city.
The Loring Park neighborhood is home to a number of historical buildings in Minneapolis, including the Basilica of Saint Mary, The Woman's Club, the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, and the Guthrie Theatre. The Walker Art Center is also close by. The park itself is a cultural center, hosting a number of carnivals and festivals every year during the spring, summer, and fall.
