Lowry Hill is one of the most upscale neighborhoods in the city. The average price of a home in this area has risen from around $360,000 in 1990 to over $450,000 in 2000. The prices are continuing to rise, making this a great place to invest, but the market is soon expected to plateau a bit, so it is important to research investments carefully.
As opposed to some of the other areas on Minneapolis, Lowry Park has a low number of residents as compared to the area. As of 200, about 4,000 people lived in Lowry Park, with a number of business owners also calling this area home. Because the area is close to downtown but also a center for the arts, it is desirable, especially for young adults.
