Lynnhurst is a residential neighborhood that is found in southwest Minneapolis. This neighborhood is located along the edge of Lake Harriet and it extends to Lyndale Avenue on the east. Lynnhurst's proximity to Lake Harriet and Minnehaha Creek offer residents and visitors ample opportunities for recreation.
The neighborhood's most significant point of interest is Lynnhurst Park, a park beloved by the community for its wonderful outdoor space. This park was once a part of the larger Lynnhurst Planning District. The streets in Lynnhurst are lined with trees and help to showcase the area's beautiful homes and their historic styles.
The neighborhood is mostly made up of single-family homes in the architectural styles of Prairie, Colonial, Arts and Crafts, Tudor, and some Romantic Revival homes. There are also duplexes and small apartment complexes along Lyndale Avenue, Penn Avenue South and Bryant Avenue.
There are a number of independently owned businesses in the area, from coffee shops, to restaurants, to retail shops.

Lynnhurst Park was purchased in 1921 and given its name later that year. The park is about 8.2 acres and is bordered by homes making this a perfect place to live. The vast majority of the homes in the Lynnhurst neighborhood were built in the early 1900s and are still in excellent condition today.
