Marcy Holmes - Minneapolis Homes and Condos MLS
The Marcy-Holmes district is one of Minneapolis' oldest neighborhoods, and includes Florence Court, a historic landmark area containing approximately 50 residential homes. These charming houses set the tone for the entire neighborhood, which includes apartment buildings and duplexes of diverse architectural styles. Marcy-Holmes is a busy rental district, with more than 90% of the ten thousand residents of the neighborhood being renters rather than home-owners.
The Marcy-Holmes district is also the location of Dinkytown, a fun, eclectic collection of restaurants, bars and similar venues, as well as several apartment buildings. There are several notable landmarks in the area, including a residence once occupied by Bob Dylan. While there are plenty of opportunities for home-buyers in the area, Dinkytown and the neighborhood's proximity to the University make Marcy-Holmes a popular place for students and young renters.
