Northrop Minneapolis Real Estate
Located in the Southeastern region of Minneapolis, Northrop is named after the elementary school located in the area. The school itself is named for Cyrus Northrop, once a president of the University of Minnesota. Northrop is home to a lively business hub, which includes banks, restaurants, a theatre, and other amenities. Also here is McRae Park, an important landmark constructed in the 1960s which offers a wide variety of recreational activities including ice skating, baseball, volleyball, tennis, playgrounds and a wading pool, as well as beautiful gardens.

Northrop - Minneapolis MN Homes & Condos MLS
Homes in the neighborhood are predominantly pre-1940s two-bedroom homes constructed of stone, brick, and stucco. There are very few multiple-family buildings in the neighborhood. Around 4,500 people call Northrop home, with many younger couples and singles living here as well as families and seniors. Northrop's high owner-occupancy rate (around 8 7% in 2000) proves its popularity, as does its slightly higher-than-average median house value.
