Sheridan Minneapolis Real Estate
Situated in the Northeast Minneapolis, the neighborhood of Sheridan was named after Philip Sheridan, a noted Civil War General. Historically, Sheridan has been a working class neighborhood, and was home to predominantly Eastern European immigrants in the early twentieth century. In the present day, Sheridan's heart is a bustling commercial district which was once a main line for the neighborhood's streetcar line. While much of this neighborhood is constructed to allow industrial companies to make use of the Mississippi River, there is much potential for residential locations in the area, and the river banks are slowly but surely developing into an area of recreational and residential buildings. This neighborhood is home to several apartment buildings, where many of the area's three thousand residents live. Sheridan has recently seen an increase in the number of young families moving to the area, and the under-18 age group is the fastest-growing age group in this neighborhood.
