The Stevens Square - Loring Heights neighborhood is east of Nicollet Avenue in the city of Minneapolis. The neighborhood extends from Interstate 35W to Lyndale Avenue and from Interstate 94 to Franklin Avenue. Stevens Square - Loring Heights is an oddly shaped neighborhood, nearly a mile wide, but only a few blocks long.
The center of the neighborhood is Stevens Square Park, the community's prized possession. The gorgeous, spacious park occupies a whole city block. Many people flock to Stevens Square - Loring Heights because of the memorable architecture and proximity to downtown Minneapolis.
Much of the residential space in the neighborhood is rental housing, some of which are iconic condos that were constructed just after World War II. There are some owner-occupied houses in the Loring Heights area, but this district also features a lot of space for potential renters. This neighborhood has a lot of older properties that have been updated or modernized for the 21st century buyer/renter.

Stevens Square - Loring Heights is bordered by the neighborhoods of Loring Park, Phillips, Whittier and Lowry Hill East. It is a great place to live because from the edge of the community, it's only a seven minute walk to the downtown core of Minneapolis.
The area of Stevens Square is mostly old apartment buildings and mansions that have been divided into apartments which give the neighborhood a high population density. The neighborhood is a historic district because of the three and a half story apartment buildings that surround Stevens Square Park.
