Minneapolis Neighborhoods

Tangletown is a neighborhood in southwest Minneapolis. Until 1996, the neighborhood was known as Fuller - however the community name was changed to reflect the winding streets of the community which doesn't conform to the street grid of south Minneapolis. The community name Fuller was named after the elementary school - Margaret Fuller was an American feminist, poet, essayist, journalist and educator, who live in the latter part of the 17th century. The school was torn down and the land it sat on was converted into Fuller Park in 1977. Fuller Park is the center of the community's life - it features a flower garden and offers many activities throughout the year.

The neighborhood boundaries are 46th Street, Interstate 35W, Diamond Lake Road and Lyndale Avenue South.

Minnehaha Creek follows along the line of the southern part of Tangletown.

Many people flock to Tangletown because of the intense feeling of community within the neighborhood. Fuller Park and all it's amenities and offerings throughout the year make Tangletown a wonderful place to raise a family.
