Minneapolis Neighborhoods
Ventura Village is a community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The neighborhood is bound by Interstate 35W, Interstate 94, Hiawatha Avenue and a long southern border that extends along East 22nd Street from Interstate 35W to Chicago Avenue, from 24th Street from Chicago Avenue to 17th Avenue South and then back to 22nd Street from 17th Avenue to Hiawatha Avenue. The main commercial artery in the neighborhood is Franklin Avenue and runs to east-west through Ventura Village.
Ventura Village used to be a part of the Phillips neighborhood until May 9, 2002 when it became a separate neighborhood. Ventura Village took its name from a Spanish word that means happiness or luck.
