Minneapolis Neighborhoods

Waite Park is a neighborhood in northern Minneapolis, Minnesota. The boundaries are 37th Avenue Northeast, Stinson Boulevard, Saint Anthony Parkway and Central Avenue Northeast.

Waite Park is named after Edward Foote Waite - a judge of the District Court for Hennepin County from 1911 to 1941. Most of the land that Waite Park sits on was incorporated by the city in 1887, but the Shoreham Yards were built by then, so it too was included in the 'land' that is Waite Park.

Waite Park is primarily a residential neighborhood, however the Shoreham Yards, a train repair facility, still exists in the area. While the yards are still in use, the land is expected to be redeveloped in the future, providing for more homes in Waite Park.

Waite Park is a great community nestled in the north of Minneapolis. The real estate available makes the neighborhood perfect for all levels of family units - from single people to retirees and small or large families.
