City Climate and Demographics
Community Osseo may be a small town, but it’s a busy one, with several community events occurring throughout the year. Events include a regular farmer’s market, live concerts, and a band festival. Osseo’s two City Parks provide tennis courts, a ball field, picnic facilities, and are the main locations for many summer-time recreational programs. In March of 2007, the Osseo City Council officially adopted a redevelopment plan to provide additional benefits for the city.
Education Osseo includes just three schools—an elementary school, a junior high school, and a senior high school. These schools are small, but well-equipped, and all provide excellent environments for the children of Osseo.
Real Estate For the period of February through May of 2007, ten homes were sold in Osseo, with an average sale price of $221,000. The state average is $2250,000 and the national average is $250,000. Average home values appreciated by approximately $3,500 during this time.
Osseo real estate includes a good mix of single family and multiple family homes, as well as duplexes, condos and co-ops. Most homes were built between 1950 and 1980, with around 15% built prior to 1940.
