Plymouth MN Housing

With more than 25,000 homes in the city and, as of 2000, close to 500 unoccupied and available, Plymouth enjoys a real promising real estate market, particularly as it slowly but steadily keeps growing and changing. However, as prices continue to rise—median household value in 2000 was $197,600 and five years later, up to $313,300—the time to jump in is now if you’re considering real estate within this vibrant and energetic community that has much to offer citizens and tourists alike.

Plymouth MN Area Information

Interestingly, the history of Plymouth stems back a good 600 years, during the pre-Colombian era. However, the first settler made his way into the region in 1848 and settled down four years later. Over time, more settlers arrived, and Plymouth began to take the shape of a town with many structures, landmarks, and businesses being built and townspeople organizing themselves. By 1955, Plymouth was fully incorporated as an official village, and in 1974 became a statutory city.

Plymouth boasts an excellent education system, complete with five different school districts: Wayzata District 284, Robbinsdale District 281, Osseo District 279, West Metro Education Project District 6069, and Hopkins District 270, as well as a number of private schools and colleges.

Recreational programs, including classes, sports, entertainment, and special events and trips, are available for adults, youth, children, seniors, and those with disabilities.
