Scandia is proud of its Swedish heritage and you will find its influences throughout the city in building architectures, in the designing of homes and real estate properties, with the serving of traditional Swedish meals, and in festivals such as Dalapalooza and Midsommar Dag, which are traditional celebration festivals of Sweden. The city of Scandia has an elementary school for the early education of children. Middle and high schools are located just a short distance away by school bus for the areas many school children. Education is important for the future success of these young students and for the continued success of the city of Scandia. Parents, teachers, and community leaders all work together to provide the best educational opportunities for the young brilliant minds of Scandia.
