Thomas-Dale St. Paul Real Estate Information

Thomas-Dale had some major problems in the 80s and 90s as the center of the drug and prostitution trades in St. Paul. John Dillinger, the notorious 1930s gangster and gang member Homer Van Meter met his end in Thomas-Dale during a shootout with the police at the University Avenue intersection.

Thomas-Dale is a working class neighborhood that is still relatively transitional, however the real estate in Thomas-Dale is reasonably priced with many single family dwellings and multi family dwellings throughout the area. Despite the problems in the 80s and 90s, the local police force have worked diligently to clean up the neighborhood and make it a nice, safe place for working class people and families to reside.

Thomas-Dale is located in District 7 of St. Paul, Minnesota. District 7 also includes East Midway, Mt. Airy, Capitol Heights and Thomas-Dale, most commonly known as Frogtown.
