Hennepin County Master Gardener Learning Gardens Tour

If you're interested in increasing your home's curb appeal through landscaping and gardening, the 2nd annual Hennepin County Master Gardener Learning Gardens Tour happens on July 11 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm!  Through the event, you can visit ten beautiful gardens designed and maintained by Master Gardeners, gaining inspiration and information on the latest gardening techniques along the way.

Each garden has a different theme and demonstration. Themes include a fairytale garden, a low maintenance garden, urban and woodland retreat gardens, a farmhouse in the city, container gardening, a sanctuary garden, and a shade garden with a labyrinth.

Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions and will conduct interactive demonstrations at 10, 12, and 2 p.m. on a wide range of topics. Tour gardens and educational opportunities tend to emphasize sustainability and productivity. One demonstration of note that this tour will provide is information on how to build a rain garden.
