North Loop Minneapolis Real Estate
Located north of Minneapolis' downtown area, North Loop is bound in the North-East by the Mississippi River. While much of the neighborhood is designated for non-residential purposes, there are two residential areas which are quickly becoming popular places to live. Even despite that, this area has so many fantastic recreational options, especially for both food and drinks. The area has recently undergone an revitalization of epic proportions. The addition of the Minnesota Twins home ballpark, Target Field, has led the charge.
This fast-growing neighborhood has been revamped recently by the warehouses and industrial buildings in the area being converted into commercial buildings and residential lofts. Once dominated by industrial land, this neighborhood is now a vibrant, lively area, conveniently close to all the amenities of the adjacent downtown neighborhood.
The population of North Loop has consequently grown from less than 400 residents in 1980 to well over 1,000 in recent years. North Loop residents also benefit from their closeness to the nearby Grand Rounds Scenic Byway, a system of fifty plus miles of walking trails and biking paths, set amongst a beautiful backdrop of the Minneapolis lakes and parks.
