West Seventh St. Paul Real Estate

The West 7th neighborhood, also known as Homecroft, sits on the southwest side of Downtown St. Paul. The street of West 7th carries a lot of history and is the heart and soul of St. Paul. The area became popular during the mid 19th century as settlers, fur traders and soldiers began to frequent the area. With a close proximity to Fort Snelling, this area was one of the original hot spots of the entire Twin Cities. Today, not much has changed.

The northern part of the neighborhood, just shy of downtown, is a busy hub year-round, especially during Minnesota Wild hockey games; the Xcel Energy Center is located here, home to many hockey games, concerts and other events throughout the year. West 7th the street has numerous restaurants that are simply spectacular. One of the highlights of the area is Cossetta's, a beloved Italian eatery with award-winning pizza, Italian cuisine, a grocery store and best of all, a high end bakery.

There are a variety of architectural styles in the neighborhood; the area has Queen Anne Victorians, pre-Civil War stone houses, red brick row houses and more.
